This project was inspired by Unitary Urbanism, a belief in the rejection of a detachment between art and our surroundings. Since cities have been designed, why shouldn’t they be designed to be beautiful. Through a series of experiments, I set out to create a body of work capturing this idea, resulting in a series of books that I hope inspire the viewer to spend more time exploring urban settings, the same way they might in nature.

The final production consisted of a series of 5 books, all work produced by myself. Printed in black and white on heavy paper with hand made belt covers and container box. The books are titled with the length of the walk and how long it took me. They include segments of text with my thoughts and feelings about some of the images as well as a fold out map at the back of the route that I took.
